To our community: An update on our CRD-TMH-001 clinical trial

We are deeply saddened to share that Terry Horgan, brother of Cure Rare Disease founder and CEO Rich Horgan, passed away this week. Terry was participating in the CRD-TMH-001 clinical trial of a novel CRISPR therapeutic. Currently, there are no further details about the cause of his passing.

The loss of Terry is heartbreaking, and he will be remembered as a hero. He was a medical pioneer whose courage and unflinching determination has paved the way for increased focus and attention on funding and developing new therapies for patients with rare and ultra-rare conditions.

Terry’s legacy will live on, and Cure Rare Disease will continue to fight for patients like him who are running out of time and options.

We thank you for respecting the Horgan family’s privacy in this time of grief.
